Breathing Therapy

Our noses have left and right nostrils. Are these nostrils having the same function for inhaling (breathe in) and exhaling (breathe out)?

Actually it's not the same and we can feel the difference. Accordingly, the right side represents the sun and the left side represents the moon.

When having headache, try to close your right nostril and use your left nostril to do breathing for about 5 min. The headache will be gone.

If you feel too tired, do it the opposite way. Close your left nostril and breathe through your right nostril. After a while, you will feel refresh again.

Because the right side belongs to heat, so it gets hot easily. The left side gets cold easily.

Women breathe mainly with their left nostril, so they get calm down easily.

Men breathe mostly with their right nostril, so they get angry easily.

When we wake up, do we notice which nostril breathes faster? Is it the left side or the right side?

If the left nostril breathes faster, you will feel very tired. Close your left nostril and use your right nostril for breathing and you will get refresh quickly.

You can teach your kids about it. The effect of breathing therapy is much better for adults.

I used to have painful headache. When consulted a doctor, he told me jokingly," You will be all right if you get married!" The doctor did not bullshit me as he had his theory and supported with testimony.

During that time, I used to have headache every night and I was not able to study. I took medicine but I was not cured.

One night as I sat down to meditate, I closed my right nostril and breathed with my left nostril. In less than a week, it seemed that my headache problem had left me! I continued doing it for about a month and since then there was no recurrence of headache in me.

This is my own experience. I used to tell others who also suffer headache to try this method as it was effective for me. It also works for those who have tried as well. This is a natural therapy, unlike taking medicines for a long time may have side effect. So, why don't you try it out?

Practice the correct ways of breathing (breathe in and breathe out) and your body will be in a very relaxing condition.


7 don’ts after a meal

• Don't smoke- Experiment from experts proves that smoking a cigarette after meal is comparable to smoking 10 cigarettes (chances of cancer is higher).

• Don't eat fruits immediately - Immediately eating fruits after meals will cause stomach to be bloated with air.. Therefore take fruit 1-2 hr after meal or 1hr before meal.

• Don't drink tea - Because tea leaves contain a high content of acid. This substance will cause the Protein content in the food we consume to be hardened thus difficult to digest.

• Don't loosen your belt - Loosening the belt after a meal will easily cause the intestine to be twisted & blocked.

• Don't bathe - Bathing will cause the increase of blood flow to the hands, legs & body thus the amount of blood around the stomach will therefore decrease. This will weaken the digestive system in our stomach.

• Don't walk about - People always say that after a meal walk a hundred steps and you will live till 99. In actual fact this is not true. Walking will cause the digestive system to be unable to absorb the nutrition from the food we intake.

• Don't sleep immediately - The food we intake will not be able to digest properly. Thus will lead to gastric & infection in our intestine.

Left or Right?

Try this to identify yourself as a right or left brain person:

1. Hold your hands together, as if you were praying.
Look at your hands. If you see

Left thumb is below the right thumb ---> left brain
Right thumb is below the left thumb ---> right brain

2. Fold your arms in front of you (as if you are angry)

Right arm above left arm ---> left brain
Left arm above right arm ---> right brain

Straight foward. Once they decided on one thing, will take action right away. Very curious, and love challenges. Dare to face dangers without thinking through (sometimes foolishly). Their weakness is they don't listen to others, will filter in only what whey want to hear in a conversation, and very subjective. However, because of their straightforward attitude, they tend to be fairly popular.

Dedicated, cold, perfectionist

Very logical in all aspects. The only way to defeat (or win over) him/her is through reasons. Has a lot of prides, and feeling strongly about doing the right thing. If they are your friends, they are very trustworthy. However, if they are your opponents, they will be very tough to deal with. Because they can be very "anal" as a perfectionist, they usually leave a bad impression of being hard to deal with when first met.

Likes to take care of others, leader type

Has a cool and keen observation ability to see through situations, yet still can be considerate in others needs. Because of their cool and calm nature, and strong sense of responsibility, they tend to become head of a group. Popular among people. However, they may not be able to help themselves in meddling because they want to take care of others too much. Very concerned about how others view them, and always on alert.

Melanoma Disease

Are those indications appearing on your body or anybody around you??


Last night, like usual I watch one of my favorite show. This show discuss about health inside family life, and this time I will tell you about a story that been discuss in that show.


Mr. Y.S. (age 56)


That time, a salesman was so busy until he had no time to watch his foot nail. Someday, he was shock when he saw a black line on his thumb. Mr. Y.S. just ignoring it and tell himself that’s only an injured because hit something. That line became wider and wider. Less than a year, he starts feeling his body doesn’t like usual. His became easy to get tired and feel hurt everywhere.

That condition continues until he was so late to know it even to do consultation with his doctor. A year later, Mr. Y.S. died in age of 58.


Below are indications that appear on Mr. Y.S.:
1. Black line or dots in nail
2. That line became wider and longer as time goes by
3. Easy to get tired
4. Finally, that black dots fulfill the nail.

This disease named Melanoma. Why a black thin line on thumb could became disease named Melanoma?


Melanoma is one kind of skin cancer. This disease began from skin cell called melanocytes, the cell which producing pigment which coloring our skin. If amount of this cell above normal, it can trigger dangerous skin cancer or malignant melanoma. Even on skin cancer disease, this kind of disease is the most dangerous and high risk.


Like what was happen with Mr. Y.S. Skin cancer on Mr. Y.S. named melanoma fingernail. Black dots which appear on finger nail became wider and most of them found at thumbnail. What cause of this disease is still a mystery, but it nothing to lose if we begin to watch more carefully something unusual on our finger nails. Like what happen on Mr. Y.S., melanoma was appeared on the roots of his thumbnail at first time.


Because it began at deep part of our nail and a little bit hard to see, Mr. Y.S. was ignoring it. If Mr. Y.S be more careful and didn’t think that only usual black dots at that time, maybe his life could be saved. But after continued more than a year, he was so late to discuss with doctor and his cancer already becoming worse.


Most of melanoma fingernail patient think black line or dots on nail as something usual and no harm. The other says it just small injuries on that nail. To know the difference between melanoma and injury, when a black dot appeared on our nail, let nail grow. If it just injuries, then that dots will disappear. But in melanoma, that dot will became bigger and we will easier to get tired.

Easy Steps to Shed 5 Pounds

Can you hear it? The sound of people giving diet advice is everywhere: Your mom, your coworkers, the TV news, even the cashiers at the cafeteria in my office building. To be fair, I'm game to dispense my own healthy eating wisdom when asked, even if it means subtly (or not so subtly) telling someone that the bag of chips they have in hand isn't necessarily helping his bottom line. But I've also noticed that the "shoulds" and "should-nots" so many people dole out can be factually incorrect.

See if you've heard any of the following common eating tips that can actually backfire and cause weight gain. Ignore them and watch stubborn pounds fall off:


BAD ADVICE: Eat a variety of foods!

WHY YOU SHOULD SKIP IT: Ask any buffet buff: We're hardwired to eat more when faced with countless different choices. This trait gives us an advantage when a spread consists of low-cal, filling fare such as veggies and lean protein. But unless you whiz by the baked goods section and restrict yourself to the produce displays, your kitchen is most likely stocked with a variety of healthy and not-so-healthy edibles.

HOW TO SMARTEN UP: Keeping special treats in the house is fine, but try to limit your stash to one or two of your favorites. The lion's share should be for a range of nutritious foods. Get inspired to prepare all those veggies, fruit and whole grains with one of thousands of recipes at Self.com.


BAD ADVICE: Always skip seconds!

WHY YOU SHOULD SKIP IT: When you know you can have only one plateful, chances are you will pile it sky-high. Hey, it's human nature -- get your fill while you can. The problem, of course, is that you will probably down every last morsel. On the other hand, knowing you can go back for another helping (if need be) encourages you to put less on your plate the first time around and allows your body to register fullness before the second helping.

HOW TO SMARTEN UP: Begin retraining yourself to start off with at least 20 percent less than you're used to eating. Then after 20 minutes -- the time it takes for us to start to feel full -- gauge your hunger. Still have an appetite? Dig in again, but keep it reasonably portioned.


BAD ADVICE: Exercising means you can eat more!

WHY YOU SHOULD SKIP IT: Your sweat session might not sizzle as many calories as you think. Thirty minutes on the elliptical, for example, cancels out only about half a blueberry muffin. If you're training for a 5K or other athletic event, you may need to eat more to fuel your workouts -- otherwise, consider regular exercise a stay-slim strategy, not immunity to the effects of polishing off an entire pizza.

HOW TO SMARTEN UP: Even the most intense cardio cannot erase the effects of a weekend chowfest, but it does benefit your health by increasing energy and lowering risk for heart disease. Another upside: Working out may make you feel good, so you eat better.


BAD ADVICE: Keep those too-tiny skinny jeans hanging in your closet as inspiration!

WHY YOU SHOULD SKIP IT: It seems to make sense: The sight of those pants or the ads with fashion models wearing them might motivate you to slim down. But experts say that many women feel worse about themselves after seeing skinny models in campaigns. And when you're down on yourself, it's harder to stick to an eating and exercise plan, even one that will help you slim down enough to wear those teeny tiny jeans.

HOW TO SMARTEN UP: Pay attention to everything healthy you have accomplished rather than what you haven't, or any shortcomings you think you have. And don't compare yourself to others. Instead, focus on your achievements, say, "I cut 1 minute off my 10K time." And don't obsess over the end goal, such as your proposed 15-pound weight loss. Keep goals small so they are more easily attainable, like "I'm going to make it to Spinning class twice this week," or "I'm going to drink water rather than juice or soda."


BAD ADVICE: Fruit and veggies are free foods!

WHY YOU SHOULD SKIP IT: Sure, produce is a must, but if you prefer high-sugar, high-calorie dried fruit, fruit juice and starchy veggies, proceed with caution. Corn and potatoes are higher in calories than other high-water-content vegetables such as cucumbers and green beans. Plus, you need three to five servings of veggies each day and only two to four servings of fruit, which tends to have more sugar and calories.

HOW TO SMARTEN UP: Go for water-rich veggies, such as zucchini and spinach, and high-fiber fruit, such as apples and berries. And swap out fatty sauces and dressings for low-cal ones such as salsa, fat-free ranch dressing and spritzes of lemon and lime.
